Since we're on the topic of events and we've got an AMAZING Events Manager, let's meet Alicia!
Hey, all you cool cats and kittens! My name is Alicia, and in case you haven't heard, I'm The Loading Dock's fearless and ferocious events manager! If we haven't had the opportunity to meet yet, it's highly likely that it's inevitable, as I bounce between all four of our lovely campuses to ensure we provide you all with meaningful events AND successful corporate meetings.
*Record scratch and still frame*... I bet you're wondering how I got here.(Not) Funny enough, I started out in the medical industry. In case you're wondering, I left that behind longggg before COVID came.
My first encounter with event coordination began with Aviator and Fullsteam breweries back in 2017 where I learned events from the bottom up. Beer somehow led me to coffee, where I became the events manager for Larry's Coffee (and got two years of specialty coffee training under my belt.)
After becoming an expert at beer and coffee, I shifted to wedding coordination.
Fun Fact: I also love music and am the Assistant City Director for Sofar Sounds in the Raleigh/Durham area! Each Sofar is small, and typically features three diverse acts. If you love intimate concerts in unique spaces, grab tickets.
At one point in time, I was convinced I had found my dream career in the events sector until I discovered The Loading Dock. From the members to the amazing staff/team that I work with daily, I am entirely fulfilled in serving as your events manager and look forward to meeting you all!
